It is amazing that we have been here in Soyo for only 8 months and how things have grown in our garden. The gardener has put in the second crop of vegetables and we have eggplant, tomato, the end of our sweet peppers and some new green for cooking.

We also have 3 trees.....an avocado from a seed....who knew that they actually can turn into a tree....fig and either orange or lemon....the gardener isn't sure which.....

We continue to have sweet peppers but they are coming to an end. These are interesting because if you eat the seeds they are quite spicy but if you take them out, the flesh of the vegetable is sweet.
We are leaving today for some time with family in the USA. I am so looking forward to seeing my children, grandchild, and friends. I know that I will miss being here in Soyo while I'm gone....it is interesting how that happens......and of course, by the time we come back many of our friends here will be going home for the holidays......
Ms. Kitty is staying with neighbors...Craig and Kris. They love cats. Lucky Ms Kitty.....gets time to sleep over at a new home......and it is funny, she got out of the kitty carrier and immediately began to explore.....she just seems to assume that every home is really hers......
Just want to share this.......how our garden in the front of our home has changed so much over these months. It is amazing how things grow.
